The latest Washington Post-ABC News poll shows 75% of Americans favor allowing gays to serve openly in the military. 75% is overwhelming and across the board. Tomorrow, Congress is holding hearings on repealing Don't Ask/Don't Tell and SGT Eric Alva, who lost his leg in Iraq, will be testifying.
Of course, McCain and the rest of the fossils in the GOP are still holding on to the position that homosexuality in the military is an "unacceptable risk." This despite the fact that 75% of military members are comfortable with gays and one in five knows a gay person in they're serving with. Where's the risk?

Those Republican boys need to grow up and become men, grow a set, and realize GLBT have always been here, and always will be. And, that some of the most outstanding soldiers and officers are friend's of Dorothy.
Yet another example of how marriage equality will help Americans. How can the military continue to discriminate against GLBTs if they have equal rights under the law? Marriage equality will pave the way for full legal equality.
