Rick Perry: Secession? What Secession

Little Rickey wrote an editorial in yesterday's Austin American-Statesman lying that he never, ever, no way, not even a little bit suggested that the Republic, I mean, the State of Texas should secede. "I have never advocated for secession" he actually had the gall to say, except, of course, when he totally did. Rachel Maddow completely took him down last night, which didn't require much effort. Watch:

Even if Little Rickey pulls off the miracle of defeating Kay Bailey Hutchison in the GOP primary, he'll need to win the general election. I guess he's realized that it'll take more than the black helicopter teabaggers to do that. Factor in his general reputation as a dunce, all the gay rumors (I hope they're false because we don't want him), and the fact that the hard-right Jesus freaks are loosing their grip on Texas and it's clear that he's got a tough road ahead. Look for lots more ill-conceived double-talk.

Yet another sterling example of typical Republican hypocracy.
