Trump Decides: Carrie Keeps the Crown

Donald Trump has just announced that he will not take Carrie Prejean's crown and she will continue as Miss California USA. A press conference with Trump, Prejean, Keith Lewis and Shanna Moakler apparently followed a come-to-Jesus (if you'll pardon the expression) meeting where Lewis, Moakler and Prejean talked it out, vented, and got themselves on the same sheet of music. Prejean, dressed in ruffles and a cross, gave a pompous little speech about respect for other's rights and tolerance, implying that she's a victim of others' intolerance and apparently forgetting that she has no respect for our rights. She also said Perez Hilton created a firestorm that went national while she "remained silent." What a fucking liar she is. She said that she looks forward to getting on with being Miss California and said that she's not going to be speaking out against gay marriage, which you can bet was a term of keeping the crown. All in all, she came off as pissy and defensive.

She said the topless pictures released today were the result of a "windy day" which is, of course, complete bullshit, and said the photographer should never have released them, which may be true. The photographer's probably a dick.

Donald Trump said he'd love to have Perez Hilton back as a judge and he declined to state his position on marriage equality. Damn, Donald, if Carrie can take it, why can't you?

Frankly, I'm glad she's keeping the crown because it robs her of all that martyr for Jesus garbage.

Here's the press conference:
