Now if they’re going to get off on that stuff—Santorum has said some cruel things—cruel, cruel things—about homosexuals. Ask him about it; see if he attributes the cruelness of his remarks years ago. Foul."

Always liked Sen. Simpson. Where oh where did the Alan Simpsons, George Mitchells, Lowell Weickers, and Gerald Fords go in the Republican Party? Now? It's just a bunch of white men running around, kowtowing to the evangelical nuts and prostituting themselves for Corporate America.
Actually, there are a handful of sane GOP Members of Congress...like Senators Dick Lugar (IN), Susan Collins (ME), and Olympia Snowe (ME)...but they will be politically tarred and feathered, no doubt.
In fact, even though Lugar has served honorably since 1977, the Hoosier GOP Powers That Be are NOT backing him for re-election, supporting instead...yup!...a Tea Bagger. And so it goes, Chief...and so it goes...and I am saddened and disgusted.
