Today's New York Times has a charming article on the wedding of legendary designer Arnold Scaasi and his love of 50 years, publishing executive Parker Ladd (the picture above is from a few colorful years ago). It was quite the society affair with a reception at Le Cirque and a guest list that included Mayor Bloomberg, Martha Stewart, Barbara Walters, Tory Burch, Liz Smith and Kenneth Jay Lane. The couple met at a dinner party in 1962 and knew after a courtship of a week that they were to be together. They also understand the importance of being out and public, as Mr. Ladd said, "At our age, being out about being gay is not chopped liver."
But did they actually get married? Read about the mystery here.

I never thought I would see the day that same sex marriage would be taken as just another society event. Never. I love it!
