Palin's Not Running for President
Apparently a synapse fired in Palinland because Queen Esther has decided not to run. Oddly, she announced this MOST MOMENTOUS DECISION OF THE AGES through a letter to her supporters. A paper letter. Not a news conference, not a YouTube clip, not even one of her ghost-tweets. Snail mail to her "fans," whoever they are. The letter said blah, blah, blah, God, blah, blah, blah, family, blah, blah, blah, country, it doesn't really matter. Palin's over. Actually, she's been over. Did you notice that in the past few months two Palin documentaries, one pro and one con, opened in theaters? No? Neither did anybody else. Did you read the Joe McGinnis book The Rogue? No? I did and thought it was terrific but few others did. Did you read Bristol's book? Levi's? Neither did anybody else. Why is nobody buying anything about Palin anymore? Where did her fans go? Where did her detractors go? They stopped caring. Nobody cares about Sarah Palin anymore. The rest of America finally realized what Alaskans realized long ago and moved on. She's the Paris Hilton of the north. She had a good ride and it's over. I hope she saved her money.

This happy news calls for a great Tina Fey quote: "On Fox News, they address her as Governor Palin. Which is like calling me 'Dairy Queen employee.' I was once, but I quit."
If a synapse fires in Palinland, does or can a thought occur?
