RIM Job

I recently switched from a Blackberry to an HTC Android device like this one, and apparently I did so just in time.  I still have a work Blackberry which wasn't much use during the recent outage.  There was a lot to like about my old 'berry, including the fact that it got better reception than the Android.  I could get a signal anywhere, underground parking garages, building sub-basements, all kinds of nooks and crannies.  But I feel like I skipped several generations with my new phone.  Now that Blackberry has had a major service interruption right on the heels of Apple's new phone announcement, how much longer before Apple and Android become the last smart phones standing?
