Rick Santorum obviously spends a great deal of time thinking about gay men in showers. He got into it on today's Fox News Sunday when Chris Wallace brought up Santorum's favorite topic of men showering together. Santorum took the bait:
"The problem is that sexual activity with people who you are in close quarters with who happen to be of the same sex is different than being open about your sexuality."
So showering with gays is OK as long as you don't know they're gay? Either way, you're still showering with gays, Rick. I was in the Army for 12 years and was in many group shower situations, yet somehow I was able to control myself. It's called maturity, little boy. Most men learn to control themselves during puberty.
Chris Wallace then pulled a gotcha question on him, quoting a "social experimentation" comment from a general in 1941 who opposed racial integration of the military. This gave Santorum an opportunity to explain that race isn't the same thing as homosexuality, which nobody actually claims, and to endorse ex-gay therapy. Here's the clip, if you have a strong stomach:
Reducing gayness to sexual acts is a way to dehumanize us so that the demonization can be justified.

Anyone as obsessed with homosexuality as Rick Santorum is must be gay. Seriously. That seemingly is the ONLY thing on this candidate's homo-focused mind.
To paraphrase Tom & Lorenzo when commenting on "Project Runway" designer Oliver, Rick Santorum needs to be fucked...and fucked hard...by a big, sweaty truckdriver. He'd be a better human being if he would be.
