Excellent coverage, Chief. You are so thoughtful to have scowered the red carpet so I didn't have to. Always, ALWAYS thinking of others. Dare I toss out the word "Christlike"?
As for the Golden Glove gowns, here's my take to your take....
** Tilda...amen! Bow the fuck down!
** Tina Fey...boring...though props for something other than black.
** Connie Britton...lunch at the Cheesecake Factory...you are brilliant!
** Melissa McCarthy...well, her husband's cute...that counts. I think if this dress had been in a bolder, fun color (sapphire, purple?), I would have thought it was Just Right for her.
** Kate Beckinsale...just who is she?! She and Kerry Washington are pretty women who are at every Hollywood event, yet who seem never to have been in a hit.
** Kelly Osbourne...love her...but the gown looks like it was inspired by Mr. Spock. And the hair...WTH...?!
** Leah Michele...yes, it is Spiderwomanish, yet I like it. As previously noted, wonder if it comes in a size 16...?
** Angelina...honestly, is there any mortal (male or female) more beautiful?
** Helen Mirren...spectacular.
Speaking of spectacular...Jane Fonda! Wow! She's what...73 or so...and she looks half that age.
The fashion is the only reason to watch awards shows. ;-)
