As expected, Mitt won the Illinois primary by a wide margin. Turnout was low, as it has been in every state Romney has taken this year. The Republicans just can't muster any enthusiasm for the guy. The mathematical impossibility of Santorum's campaign became even more obvious, but he's vowing to keep fighting and why not? Louisiana is next and the rural Deep South Republicans love him. Newty-Newt is sticking with his personal campaign of destruction. He is determined to bring down Romney and the entire GOP if necessary. Too bad nobody's paying attention to him anymore. Ron Paul's still doing his thing. Everybody's sticking with it until Tampa when Sarah Palin will sweep in to save America! We can only hope. Palin/Gingrich 2012! A dream ticket! For Democrats.
BTW, Obama will win Illinois by about a gazillion points in November, so enjoy your victory, Mitt.
