Amendment One Passes

Anti-gay amendment one has passed in North Carolina by a wide margin.  The voters have now sent a message to gay citizens of that state that they are second class citizens and they had better remember their place.  It's a dark day in the history of the Tarheel State.

I'm convinced that if you allowed NC residents to ban interracial marriage or even interfaith marriage, you would have a surprisingly high number of people voting against them... because you can't allow people to decide what rights other people should have. It's so stupid.
