Broadway Divas Send in the Clowns

LC NY Bureau Chief Doug sent me this fun clip of different Broadway legends singing "Send in the Clowns," all performed by Carly Sakolove.  Her Catherine Zeta Jones is killer.

Judy Collins sings this song perfectly. She also sings 'Smazing Grace' better than anyone I have ever heard try it. Yes, if Judy C. sings it I will listen.

Speaking of Broadway Divas...schlepping along West 45th yesterday afternoon...who did I spy across the street from Bergercrest near "How to Succeed..."?

Miss Bernadette Peters.

Standing alone, looking stunning, talking to a guy in a lavendar vest (wonder if he might be gay?!). So, there we had a hundred kids squealing for that Jonas kid, who is now starring in "HTSIBWRT" and there stood the One-and-Only Broadway Legen Miss BP not even 25 yards away, and NO ONE was paying any attention to her.

By the way, the very first celebrity I ever saw in NYC...back in April 1985...was Miss BP. She was in Shubert Alley, preparing to enter the stage door. Come to think of it...she was standing seemingly unnoticed and talking to some gay man that Saturday afternoon too. At that time, she was in "Sunday in the Park."

For the record, Miss BP looks as gorgeous today as she did 27 years ago! I should have dashed over to her yesterday to demand who her makeup man and surgeon are! Team Doug is always looking to add talented gays for my hair, makeup, design team. I just hired Oprah's lighting guy, in fact.

@Doug,

A gentleman never asks a lady who her surgeon is or asks where she has her 'work' done.

One perhaps may remark that she looks very 'refreshed and rejuvenated' after an absence (*wink* *wink*).

There is one exception: Dyan Cannon. Stay away form whoever did her work.
