Congratulations Barney and Jim!
Congressman Barney Frank should be getting used to making history. In 1987, he became the first openly gay Member of Congress and yesterday, he became the first openly gay Member of Congress to be married. His new husband is handsome Jim Ready, a carpenter and welder from Ogunquit, Maine. They were married in Newton, Massachusetts, which is in Frank's district, and Governor Deval Patrick was the officiant. The story of their meeting and courtship is quite touching and you can read it all here.
