Rhode Island House Approves Marriage Equality

Now it's on to the Senate where the bill faces a tougher battle.  The governor has said he would sign it. Rhode Island is the only New England state that doesn't allow same-sex marriage, although it recognizes marriages performed elsewhere.

I watched every minute of this online yesterday and found myself choked up several times. Those in favor of marriage equality used to be in the minority ... pleading for the others to listen to them. Yesterday, those speaking out against it were in the minority. And it felt wonderful.
