Crystal Dawn Craven: 1978-2013

Crystal Craven of Laurel, Mississippi has died of brain cancer just weeks after her marriage to Jessica Powell. The wedding stirred up a controversy in the small Mississippi town when it was featured on the front page of the Laurel Leader-Call.  Shortly after, new tumors were discovered and Craven decided to end treatment after fighting the cancer for two years.  Her new wife was referred to as her "special friend" in the obituary.
